WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

This Week We Will Focus On:

• Reading Comprehension Focus
• Students will be listening/discussing narrative nonfiction this week
• Students will learn how ask and answer questions
• Students apply comprehension focus/strategies to independent reading.
• Homework:  Students should be reading 20-30 minutes daily.  

Math: Multiplication Strategies

• We will be beginning the unit of multiplication this week.  Students will will be learning the foundations of multiplication as equal groups.

Science: Chapter 1 - Students will be learning about the scientific method and completing an experiment this week.

Social Studies:

• We are currently working on Science and will switch to Social Studies very soon.

Thursday Folders

• Thursday folders will go home each Thursday.  This folder will store graded work and parent information.  Please remove papers, sign and return.

Room Parent:  I am looking for two Room Moms.  Room moms are in charge of planning the Holiday party in December and the end of the school year.  Rooms moms may also be needed additional activities.  Please let me know if you are interested! :-)

Thursday Folder Volunteer - Please me know if you are interested in filing papers for Thursday folders.

Binder:

Students have received a planner which is stored in their take home binders.  Please view the students nightly and initial it.

*** Please send in a water bottle daily.

*** Please return all orientation paperwork if you have not done so already.
